Karen was getting ready at her Mum’s house with her bridesmaids and sisters when I arrived. Her flowers and shoes were amazing especially all lined up on the garden wall in the sunshine. Her family all arrived during the preparations.Karen’s sisters helped her into her beautiful ivory satin, full length gown which had a cross over, ruched bodice and sparkle on the straps and hipline, complimenting the sparkle in her hair and on her veil. When it was time to leave home they all got into a very pretty vintage bus together for the trip to The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge.Karen and Justin’s emotional ceremony was in the incredible upstairs suite at The Bear Hotel beneath sparkling chandeliers and among very happy, smiley family and friends. Before the signing of the register the ceremony included readings from two lovely young ladies. Then it was outside onto the patio for drinks followed by a short stroll to the local gardens for couple and bridal party photographs. We had lots of fun with so many people in the bridal party. They were just so gorgeous together. The group photographs were taken out on the patio and then everyone was invited into the splendid reception room which had been decorated in many shades of purples and pinks in keeping with the colour theme throughout. After the meal there were speeches from the Groom, the Best Man, Nieces, one of which was a poem and the Groom’s Dad. They were very emotional especially with their Nieces. These were followed by impromptu speeches by both of Justin’s brothers.Because this was a relatively early wedding, there was time for some fun and relaxation and a good old chat before the party started. With the cake cutting complete it was time for this delightful couple to take to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, but it wasn’t long before everyone joined in and formed a large circle around this truly happy couple.Thank you Karen and Justin for asking me to be your wedding photographer, it was a great privilege and especially delightful that you came to me as a recommendation from one of my 2015 weddings. I have no doubt you had a wonderful day and a brilliant party.
