A brilliant start to 2017 with Jo and James on the 18th February at Audleys Wood Hotel.

Jo and James 4

For my first wedding of 2017 I was back just outside Basingstoke in Hampshire at Audleys Wood Hotel with Jo and James.  We had one of those crisp, clear and sunny days that often happen for a few days in February.  The kind weather combined with this lovely couple and their brilliant family and friends made everything perfect on the day.

Jo was getting ready in the Jane Austin suite with her Mum and bridesmaids when I arrived.Jo and James 16Jo and James 18Jo and James 17Jo and James 13Jo and James 14Jo and James 20Jo and James 19Jo and James 21Jo and James 22Jo’s gorgeous wedding gown with layers of soft, floaty tulle and delicately sparkling appliqués was from The Bridal Mill, Southampton.  The white roses and gypsophila in the bouquets complimented the colour scheme perfectly as Jo’s bridesmaids wore rich, deep blue dresses all slightly different in design.Jo and James 15I caught up with James outside Audleys Wood before he became a little emotional upon the arrival of his bride in the ceremony room.Jo and James 23Jo and James 24Jo and James 25Jo and James 26Jo and James 27Jo and James 28Jo and James 29Jo and James 31James’ Dad did the reading during the ceremony.Jo and James 32Jo and James 33Jo and James 34Jo and James 35Jo and James 30Jo and James 36After the truly beautiful ceremony we were out in the sunshine for some fun with the bridal party especially as I noticed that the tallest of the dads was the one who managed to get the piggy back ride.Jo and James 59Jo and James 60The boys all looked very smart in their Slaters suits.Jo and James 61Jo and James 62Jo and James 63Jo and James 54Jo and James 55Jo and James 56Jo and James 57Jo and James 58Jo and James 64Jo and James 65 I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely couple to photograph when we came to their own pictures.Jo and James 37Jo and James 38Jo and James 39Jo and James 40Jo and James 41Jo and James 43Jo and James 45Jo and James 1Jo and James 3Jo and James 2Jo and James 9Jo and James 48Jo and James 42Jo and James 52Jo and James 6Jo and James 50Jo and James 5Jo and James 4Jo and James 44Jo and James 47Jo and James 48Jo and James 49Jo and James 53Jo and James 51The party moved to the Garden Pavilion for the wedding breakfast where they also enjoyed heartfelt speeches by this really close and happy family, but on the way there was time for confetti.Jo and James 68The Garden Pavillion was decorated with a continuation of the deep blue theme by Events For U with their usual flair, style and attention to detail.Jo and James 66Jo and James 67Jo and James 69Jo and James 70Jo and James 71Jo and James 72Jo and James 73Jo and James 74Jo and James 75Jo and James 76Jo and James 77Jo and James 78Jo and James cut their wedding cake, made by Iced Heaven, just before the first dance, which took place in front of their family and friends and a giant illuminated LOVE sign leaving no-one in any doubt of their feelings for each other.Jo and James 7980Jo and James 81Jo and James 82Jo and James 80Then it was on with the party with Simon Carlton as DJ and Rob Haynes providing the photo booth.  This was a magical day with a delightful couple.  Thank you Jo and James for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
